MY CURRENT MAKEUP COLLECTION!

I could spend hours looking at makeup collections on blogs and youtube as I love to see the sort of makeup other people like to collect and also how they store them. With that being said, I thought it was about time I showed you mine.

Unfortunately with my room being quite small I can currently only fit in one drawer unit for my makeup. I keep my makeup in the IKEA Alex 9 Drawer Unit which I got for £90 from, of course, IKEA. This set of drawers is absolutely perfect for storing makeup and I know that a lot of other beauty bloggers/youtubers use them. On top of my drawers I keep a few little bits such as my most used and favourite lipsticks in a holder that I purchased from amazon. I also keep my two pots of makeup brushes, one for face brushes and the other for eyes. I got these gorgeous little pots from IKEA for just £1.90 which is an absolute bargain to say they are so beautiful! I then just have my current favourite perfume and body spray and also my avon makeup setting spray. Above my little makeup set-up I have this lovely photo frame collage with some of my favourite photos of family and friends.

On to what is in the drawers..

DRAWER 1 - FACE & BASE

This drawer is where I keep all of my base products such as  primers, foundation, concealer etc. I also like to keep my two favourite hand sanitisers in here as I use these before I apply my makeup. The first little section contains my favourite foundation, the Urban Decay Naked Skin, and my favourite illuminating primer. As you can see I like to keep a few back ups in there for when I run out. The next section contains mostly face primers and also my Simple Spot Zapper as I like to keep this somewhere easy to reach for. I then have a little section for my concealers where I have a variety of different brands such as Collection, Maybelline, Kiko and Mac. The last part of my drawer is where I keep my foundations, BB creams and eye primers. I am really loving the L'Oreal true match foundation at the minute.

DRAWER 2 - BRONZER, BLUSH & SKINCARE

In this drawer I keep all of my bronzers, blushers and highlighters as well as a few of my most used skincare products. In the first section I have my bronzers. I don't have many of these as I don't really use them that much apart from my benefit Hoola. Behind that I have my two favourite powder highlighters and my elf HD powder. Underneath that I have my 3 benefit samples of the benetint, posietint and the ooh la lift as well as a cream highlight from technic. In the middle section of the drawer I keep my blushers from a variety of different brands such as Makeup Revolution, NYX and Sleek. The last part of this drawer has my most used skincare items such as my E45 cream which I use on my really dry skin patches and my No7 eye serum. I keep my Clinique moisturiser and my cleansing/exfoliating products in my bathroom.

DRAWER 3 - EYE MAKEUP

This is my second favourite drawer in my whole collection as some of you may already know that I'm obsessed with all things eye makeup related. The first section of this drawer contains my mascaras, and yes I know I have an excessive amount of mascaras but I can't help myself. Behind the mascaras I have my eyeliners and crayons in a variety of different colours. Next to that I have my cream eyeshadows and bases from brands such as Mac and Maybelline. Then I have my single eyeshadows which I don't have a lot of as I tend to buy more palettes (which you will see in a minute). I then have a few gel eyeliner pots and products for my brows. The elf Brow Kit is amazing!

DRAWER 4 - EYESHADOW PALETTES

Ahh my absolute favourite drawer. If there's one thing i'm obsessed with more than anything it is eyeshadow palettes. I recently had a bit of a clear out and this is what was left. I have my smaller palettes in the first section such as my Mac quad (which I absolute adore by the way). Behind that I have my 3 sleek palettes and my MUA palette, which are all incredible, as well as my avon quad. Then I have palettes from Makeup Revolution, Elf and Seventeen. In the lower right hand corner I have my 3 Urban Decay palettes, Naked 2, Naked 3 and Naked Basics, as well as my Benefit world famous neutrals.

DRAWER 5 - LIPS

This drawer contains all of my lip products. The first section has all of my lip pencils and crayons from brands such as MUA, Bourjois, No7 and Revlon. I then have a section for lip glosses which I don't actually have a lot of as I don't tend to use them that much. I then have a few liquid lipsticks and a few lipsticks that aren't in my holder on top of my drawers. I then have a section for all of my lip balm and lip care products. I also keep a pot which has all of my every day makeup in as I find that it is easier just to grab everything all together when I'm in a rush in a morning. (Post coming soon on my updated everyday makeup).

So that's it for makeup but I thought i'd show you what else I keep in the other 4 drawers..

DRAWER 6 - NAIL ART & EXTRAS

In the first of my 4 larger drawers I keep all of my nail accessories and nail art tools such as my nail art stamping kit, false nails, nail polish remover, nail files etc.

DRAWER 7 - NAILS

I think it's safe to say that I have a little bit of an obsession with nail polish. (This is after a massive clear out). There are so many different brands and colours in this drawer that it would take me hours to go through them all but I love every single one of them.

DRAWER 8 - MAKEUP BAGS

In this drawer I keep all of my makeup bags for when I travel. I absolutely adore my two ted baker bags especially the lime green, black and white striped one.

DRAWER 9 - HAIR

In my final drawer I keep my Trevor Sorbie hair curler which comes with 3 different wand attachments and my 3 most used hair products. I don't usually tend to use much in my hair as I usually keep it natural but for when I curl it I have my Got2B spray mousse and my tony and guy casual sea salt texturising spray. I also keep a back up dry shampoo in here.

So that's it for my makeup collection. How do you store your makeup? Let me know in the comments..

  6. Oh my goodness, so jealous of your Alex 9 Drawer! I have literally a fraction of the amount of makeup that you have, but I have to say I would love to venture out and buy a nice eye shadow palette, I'm thinking the Naked Basics 2 maybe? I can't get enough of lip products (especially all of your lip crayons!) and nail polishes (there is always a beautiful new color at the store....sigh) xx
