TOP 5: MUSIC!

I thought I'd have a little break from beauty posts this week and blog about something new. I'm going to start a 'Top 5' series where I post my top 5 favourite things from different categories. This week I decided to talk about my current favourite albums.

I've got to admit, it was quite hard trying to pick just 5 albums to feature in this post as there have been SO many that I've been loving recently..

Taylor Swift - 1989
Since this album came out in October 2014, I have listened to it non stop! Although, I have to admit at first I wasn't too sure about it as it is completely different to Taylor's usual style but the more I listened, the more it grew on me and it hasn't left my car CD player since. My favourite tracks from the album are 'Style' and 'Wildest Dreams'.

Collabro - Stars
This incredibly talented group won Britain's Got Talent in 2014 and my god did they deserve it! The English boy band specialise in musical theatre, which if you know me well enough, is something I absolutely adore. They stole my heart when they sang the huge hit 'Stars' from Les Mis for their audition on the show. The album contains many covers from all sorts of musicals as well as covers of popular songs such as Frozen's 'Let It Go' and 'All Of Me' by John Legend.

Maroon 5 - V
This band has been one of my all time favourites since their debut album 'Songs About Jane' in 2002 and they have not disappointed once again with the release of their fifth album 'V'. Although I love this band so much, I have never seen them live! However, that's about to change as I will be seeing them in London on 26th May and I am SO excited! My favourite tracks from this album are 'Coming Back For You' and 'Unkiss me'.

OneRepublic - Native
Although this album came out in 2013, I still listen to it at least once a day! It's one of those albums where every single track is amazing, there isn't one that I dislike. I have been a huge OneRepublic fan for many, many years now and they never disappoint me with their music. My most played track from this album is 'I Lived'. I also love 'Something I Need' - if you watched the X Factor UK 2014, you will probably know this song as it was released as the winners single (which I wasn't very happy about as they changed the lyrics!) but I highly suggest you check out the original version by OneRepublic.

Sia - 1000 Forms of Fear
I'd never really come across Sia before she released 'Chandelier' in 2014 but I loved that song that much that I decided to purchase the newest album, 1000 Forms of Fear. This album is absolutely incredible! Her songs are perfect and her voice is stunning! If I could recommend any album right now, it would be this one! My favourite tracks include 'Big Girls Cry' and 'Elastic Heart'.

Have you listened to any of these albums? Let me know in the comments what your favourites are at the moment and leave me some recommendations for new music..

  3. Once Sia's album came out I had it on repeat for about a week solid after. She's such an amazing artist - and TSwift's album is such a jam. I'm so nosey about other people's taste in music, gotta love a post like this ;)

  4. I am completely obsessed with Taylor Swifts album and love One Republic. I remember seeing Collabro's album in a store where I live and being too embarrassed to buy it but seeing your review for it, I'm not so embarrassed to go get it now. Haha! Thank you! Also I've nominated you for the 'very inspiring blogger award' and would love if you checked it out.
